Year 8 is a time of consolidating the foundations upon which students will continue to grow and explore their interests and unique talents in the years following.
The character strength for Year 8 is Bravery. Through Connections, students are challenged to explore Bravery: asking themselves what bravery is, what it looks like and how they themselves can express bravery in their lives.
Having experienced their first year at the College, students have adjusted to secondary life and are encouraged to participate in the many activities and programs available to them.
Through the curriculum, students are engaged in their learning through a variety of programs and excursions.
Reflection Day allows for students to reflect upon their Faith whilst the Year 8 Program provides the opportunity for students to explore their character. In Semester 1 the Year 8 boys are challenged to examine Manhood and consider what it means to be a good man. Year 8 girls study Women in Leadership and look at qualities, including Bravery that are shared by many successful women. In Semester 2 students learn Digital Coding, an essential skill for the 21st century.
