Year 9 is an important year for academic development and progress, with students on the cusp of making decisions about their future direction.
Students engage in their own choice of elective subjects for the first time, enabling them to explore their own interests whilst furthering their learning.
Year 9 students undertake a City Experience Program; exploring Melbourne's CBD. Projects are inquiry-based, with students encouraged to explore key ideas in-depth and work collaboratively to reflect and answer relevant and important questions.
The year draws to a close with Year 9 Camp. This experience encourages students to get out of their comfort zone by participating in activities such as surfing. Students also partake in workshops promoting leadership in preparation for them being the leaders and most senior cohort in the College at Year 10.
